So I guess this is my main tumblr page now…

I tried to get into tumblr. I was going to utilize it as part of a series of videos and blog posts I was going to do. The whole tumblr thing just never happened for me.

One problem about this being my main tumblr account is the fact that I do not own this page name or profile name anywhere else but here, so there isn’t much chance of it catching on. But, considering I own it here, I might as well make the most of it.

This is a tubulum, or a PVC pipe instrument. Inspired by the Blue Man Group, @thejerrymobile (shown playing the instrument) built a “monster”-sized one with a maze-like structure — 82 45° elbows, 35 90° elbows and 8-10 lengths of PVC — and “foam/duct tape sandwich” drum skins to cover the ends of the pipes. The length of each pipe determines the drum notes.
